Web Page Building Handbook

V. Tips/suggestions

If a page is for or about children’s programs, you might use some cute age-appropriate graphics or brighter colors.

If a page is about a program your meeting offers, you may want to give a short description of the program (who, when, where, why, what) at the beginning so folks can know immediately if it is something which interests or applies to them.

For example, a page about after school care offered by your meeting could include the age range of eligible children (ie. 7-12), the times it is offered (ie. 2pm-6pm), which days of the week (ie. M-F), and who to contact for more information (ie. call Judy in the Meetinghouse Office at 555-1212 for more information or to sign-up.)

If the page is for folks who may not already be familiar with the Church, Friends, or your area, what are the basics someone needs to know?

If you assume they already know where 200 Quaker Lane is, they may never make it to your door.
